Thank you to everyone involved with making this event successful. Because of your support we raised over $2500 for the children at the Casa Hogar Sion Orphanage in Tijuana. Here are some photos from the event. All pictures taken by the amazing Benjamin James of Empty Space Studios. http://emptyspacestudio.zenfolio.com/

Some of us have become quite involved with a wonderful orphanage down in Tijuana, Mexico. In an attempt to raise funds to help with their daily cost of living, we have decided to throw an event in honor of the children.
Come join us for a 2 hour yoga workshop taught by Juliet Bradford and Jaimeleigh Christain focusing on opening up our heart chakra. A fun sweaty flow to to get your heart rate up with twists, shoulder, neck, hip, and upper back openers to help clear past emotions to bring awareness, compassion, and appreciation back to our center ending the class in yin yoga style fashion stretching out our muscles with the joyful music of the singing bowl. Stay for our after party with live music, food, tasty treats by Crumb Fairy Bakery, drinks, reviving coconut water from ONE Coconut Water, and a raffle with silent auction. Tickets for the 2-hour yoga experience will be $30, with the party included. If you buy online before the event we will throw in 2 free raffle tickets. If you aren't the yoga type but would still like to help the orphans, tickets to the party will be $20. Again, if you purchase tickets in advance, you will receive 2 free raffle tickets. Additional raffle tickets will be sold at the door for $10. BUY ONLINE!!! The price for tickets at the door will be $40 for the Yoga Session and Party (with no raffle tickets included) and $30 for the Party (with no raffle tickets included). We are doing this soley for the reason that we need to have an accurate head count for the event and really want to encourage purchasing online. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of El Faro non-profit charity whose entire funds go to the Casa Hogar Sion orphanage. Friends of El Faro is a non-profit started by two amazing people, Leigh Kilton-Smith and her husband Adam Smith. Their charity provides almost all the money the orphange uses to surrvive. Here is a mission statement from the Friends of El Faro website: Our mission is simple - to show up and help improve the lives of the children of Casa Hogar Sion in anyway we can. Long term, our goal is to purchase land and build them a new home. In the mean time there are hungry children to feed, to shelter, keep safe, and send to school. Friends of El Faro 501(c)3 number is 54-2190356 We will have information about the kids you are helping. We are really looking forward to seeing you at the event and are so grateful for your time and energy. This is a very special opportunity to directly help and influence the lives of these beautiful and wonderful children. NEWS!!!!! WE HAVE RECEIVED AMAZING DONATIONS FOR THE RAFFLE....WHICH MIGHT TURN INTO A SILENT AUCTION....SO BRING YOUR CHECKBOOKS!!! |
